A couple of days in Key West

First full day in Key West – Friday – 7/18
-Ate breakfast at hotel restaurant (not free.  Apparently the more expensive the hotel, the more expensive the breakfast – boo)
-Visited the Southernmost point of the continental U.S.
-Walked down Duval Street – did some window shopping – stopped at Walgreen’s for photo pickup and some souvenir shopping (WG is a great place for souvenirs no matter where you go!)
-Ate lunch at Sloppy Joe’s
-Tom got a custom screen printed T-shirt like the main character in his webcomic, Ethan.
-Erin invested in a pair of key lime green Birkenstocks, which are now her favorite shoes! (while Erin was shopping Tom made some phone calls and got us a reservation to swim with the dolphins at the Miami Seaquarium on the 23rd – told you it would work out!)
-Visited Pirate Soul – the Pirate museum.
-Wine tasting at Key West Winery – Key lime wine was yummy!
-While we were on Duval Street there was a random parade, and Erin caught a lot of beads (but did nothing to earn them – I swear!)
-Got some well deserved ice cream after a hot day walking around.
-Spent some time at the pool and hanging out in hammocks on the beach.
-Ate a late dinner an Italian restaurant called Abondanza (which if you don’t know, means abundance in Italian, which you would know by looking at the GIGANTIC portions they served)

Key West Day 3 – Saturday 7/19
-Slept in and caught some rays on the beach.
-Had drinks and lunch at the bar by the pool.
-Got massages on the beach.
-Spent some time in the pool.
-Saw two weddings at the hotel – one on the beach and one inside.
-Went on a sunset cruise.
-Ate leftover Italian for dinner (seriously huge portions!)
